Overview
Caritas Zambia generates a lot of information and data from its various activities. The organisation has equally gained vast experience on a number of development processes and this makes it unique in the manner that it designs and implements its activities. The organisation publishes a number of its research and other intellectual products. However, there is a recognition that more can be done to improve on the packaging of information for various audiences, information dissemination and quality management. Further, Caritas Zambia has undergone some re-branding following the change in name from the Catholic Centre for Justice, Development and Peace; and this entails that more work to sensitise the public on this transformation. The visibility of Caritas Zambia needs to be strengthened further and this will require a systematic approach to public relations and branding. The Knowledge Management Sub Programme is designed to allow Caritas Zambia manage its information better and to institute measures to improve the overall quality of its research and advocacy products; as well as improve the documentation of information, data and other knowledge products. The Knowledge Management sub programme will also conduct public education on various programmes that Caritas Zambia is running.
The Knowledge Management Sub Programme is the ‘mirror’ of the organisation and provide an interface with the general public.
To strengthen Caritas Zambia systems and practices of managing and disseminating information by the end of 2010.
